Sustainable Economic Development: A Socio-Economic and Management Approach

Abstract

This paper analyses the mechanisms and models of attaining sustainable development within socio-economic systems with special reference to the aspect of economic growth, social equity and environmental sustainability. The major aim is to examine major aspects that affect sustainable socio-economic development and to suggest a coordinated methodological framework in carrying out proper planning and management. The research employs both qualitative and quantitative research methodology which involves analysis of secondary data through existing literature, comparative analysis of the socio-economic indicators and modeling methods that include fuzzy cognitive mapping, and sustainability indices. The findings reveal that inclusive policies, financial inclusion, and institutional quality as well as good resource management play important roles in the outcomes of sustainable development. Additionally, analytical tools and strategic planning models are integrated to improve the process of decisionmaking and increase the level of socio-economic stability in the long term. The results also suggest that the problem of socio-economic disparities and environmental issues should be resolved to achieve a balanced and resilient development. The study found that to realize sustainable socio-economic development in both developed and developing regions, the holistic and interdisciplinary approach is necessary that entails policy intervention, technological innovation, and stakeholder participation.
